Mt.Everest& Ngari trekking tour is the long trip route. You will see the group of wildlife like Tibetan wild donkey and antelope, the disappearance of the ancient Georgian dynasty, the world's third pole lake and glacier and the panoramic view of Mt Gangdise and the Himalayas.


Day 1 Arrival In Lhasa

Taking flight into Tibet will give you a panorama of the Himalayas or spend 1-2 days to cross the breathtaking Tibetan Plateau by train. Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the Lhasa Airport/Railway by our staff and transferred to the hotel. From the airport, it takes about 1.5 hours. From the train station, it only takes 20 minutes. And then you’d better have a good rest in your hotel to get acclimatized to the high altitude. If you feel good, you can wander around the city and take a panoramic view of the Potala Palace but try not to overtax yourself.

Day 2 Lhasa Sightseeing

The first station is the famous world heritage Potala Palace, locating on the Red Hill 2km northwest of Lhasa. It's well known as the cardinal landmark of Tibet and a masterpiece of Tibetan architecture. Also, the most valuable collections in Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet.

After lunch, you will visit the Jokhang Temple, which is the oldest Buddhist temple in Tibet and the ultimate pilgrimage destination. The most valuable collection in the Jokhang Temple is the statue of Sakyamuni at the age of twelve. From there, you will stroll in the old alleys of Barkhor Street where you can drink the sweet tea, chat with locals to understand the real life in Lhasa.

Day 3 Lhasa Sightseeing

Highlights: Drepung MonasterySera Monastery

Today’s tour will begin to visit Drepung Monastery about 45km to the north of Lhasa. It’s the most important monastery of Gelugpa in Tibetan Buddhism and considered one of the 'Three Great Monasteries'. The hot attraction is the site of the annual Shoton Festival, with the display of huge Buddhist painting on the hillside.

After lunch, you will head to the Sera Monastery which is another one of the ‘Great Three’ Gelug monasteries. It’s famous for the valuable sutra Kanjur kept in it. The most attractive event is the Buddhism activities of "Monks Debate" for around 15:00 – 17:00 every day.

Day 4 Lhasa - Gyantse – Shigatse

Highlights: Yamdroktso LakeKaro La Glacier,  Pelkor Chöde Monastery with Gyantse Kumbum

After a full exploration of Lhasa, we will drive over the Kampala Pass (4794m) from Lhasa to Shigatse. On the way, you will take a short hike along the turquoise waters of Yamdrok Lake, which is one of the three largest sacred lakes in Tibet. The lake is surrounded by many snow-capped mountains.

Later you will enjoy the stunning Karo La Glacier. Here, you can get an up-close view of Mt. Nojin Kangtsang and the glaciers coming off of it.

Then visit Pelkor Chode Monastery is built in the15th century and situated on the northwestern edge of Gyantse. It’s famous for the splendid Buddhist Stupa (100-Thousand-Buddha Tower).

Day 5 Shigatse - Tingri - Rongphu – EBC

Highlights:  Rongbuk Monastery, Sunset of golden Everest peak

Today we will go straight from Shigatse to Everest base camp. After getting the Alien’s travel permit, you will be through the Tsola Pass (4600M) and the Gyatsola Pass (5248M) which is a great spot for all mountains of the Himalayas over 8,000 meters. From here, you can see the world's highest five peaks. From Geu La, you will reach to Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world. The surprising view of Everest from here will be a high point of your journey!  Then drive to the Tent Camp to stay overnight. If the weather is good, you can get a breathtaking glimpse of the sunset of golden Everest peak.

Travel note:

According to weather condition, you will stay in Everest Tent Camp from May to Oct. Otherwise, you’ll stay at Rongbuk Monastery’s guesthouse because of cold weather from Nov~Apr.

Day 6 EBC – Saga

Highlights:  Sunrise of Everest Peak, Everest Base Camp, Far view of the Mt.Shishapangma, Peikutso Lake

In the morning, you will see the wonderful sunrise of Everest Peak if weather permits at the lodging area. On the way from the Tent hotels to Everest Base Camp, if you like trekking, you can take about two hours to do a short trek.

After visiting EBC, we will drive to saga country. You will far fabulous view of the Mt.Shishapangma (8012m) and see the beautiful Peikutso Lake along the way. Then continue to Saga, you are so lucky to see a number of wild animals like the wild donkeys, wild antelopes.

Day 7 Saga – Manasarovar

Highlights: Sand dunes, beautiful grassland and local's villages, Far view of the Mt. Naimonanyi

In the morning, we will begin to get to Darchen from Saga. On the way, we will drive across the vast plains and have an amazing view of Himalayans to the south and Trans-Himalayan to the north.

In the late afternoon, we will get to the Darchen by crossing the sand dunes, mountains, and sandstone valleys. Then, you can explore the peaceful Darchen town by yourself.

Day 8 Manasarovar – Darchen

In the morning, you can get up early to wander and see beautiful Sunrise of Lake Manasarovar. Then, drive back to Darchen, near to the foothills of Mt Kailash.

Day 9 Darchen - Kailash – Darchen

Today, you will visit Mt.Kailash where is the pilgrimage destination of Buddhism, Bon, Hindu and Jainism worshippers alike. Pilgrims go for a trip to the sacred mountain to complete a spiritual circuit, as it is believed that it will wash away their sins.

Day 10 Darchen – Zanda

Today we will drive about 8hrs to Zanda, though the distance is only abt 243km. On the way, we will have the breathtaking view of Gangdise Valley.

Day 11 Zanda - Tsaparang – Zanda

Today, we will drive to Tsaparang, which is located in the valley of Langchen Tsangpo. With the unparalleled light, soil forest, brilliant history, it becomes one of the favorite places for travelers.

Day 12 Zanda - Ali – Rutok

Highlights: Ancient Petroglyphs Rutog Monastery

Today, we will leave for Rutok by passing Lalung-la Pass (5330m) and Ali (Gar). Along with the vast expanse of plains in Ali, you will see the group of wildlife like wild Tibetan antelope, Yak.

Day 13 Rutok - Pangongtso - Ali – Gegye

Highlights:  Pangongtso Lake

In the morning, begin to drive to Rutok Xian, the road hits the east end of lovely turquoise Pangongtso (4241m). After visiting here, you’ll head to Gegye (4520m).

Day 14 Gegye – Gertse

Today, we’ll drive about 8 hours to Gertse. Along with way, it shows a dreamy blur of lake and sky, cut by salt rings and breathtaking of mountains, mustard and green barley, just like a beautiful painting.

Day 15 Gertse – Tsochen

Highlights:  Dungtso, Dawatso

Today, you will drive about 7 hours to Tsochen by passing beautiful valleys and one after another and turquoise water lake Dung-tso and Dawa-tso.

Day 16 Tsochen – Raka

Today, you will leave for Raka by passing Songma-la pass (5500m). Then you will see Tagyel-tso, and other small lakes.

Day 17 Raka - Lhatse - Sakya – Shigatse

Today, drive back to Lhatse. En route, we will detour to Sakya Monastery. It provides a place to learn from highly qualified and spiritual Tibetan Lamas in a beautiful traditional setting.

Day 18 Shigatse – Lhasa

Highlights: Tashilhunpo monastery, Yarlung River

In the morning, we will visit the Tashi Lhunpo monastery, which is the home of Panchen Lama. On the way to Lhasa from Shigatse along the friendship way, you will follow the beautiful Yarlung River and a number of beautiful local villages. In the late afternoon, you will arrive in Lhasa with full time to wander the Lhasa city and sort out the beautiful photos you took.

Day 19 Free Day In Lhasa

After all of the Tibet sightseeing, you may feel a little tired. So you will have a relaxing free day in Lhasa on your own without guide and vehicle service today.

Day 20 Departure From Lhasa By Flight/Train

Your tour ends today. After breakfasts, you will be free for the morning. Our staff will pick up you at your hotel to transfer to Lhasa Airport/Railway.
